June is the ideal month to expand your native plantings because Mother Nature can do much of the watering for you. To make the most of rainy season, circle Saturday, June 6 for our Go-Native Plant Sale presented by Galloway Farm Nursery. The much-anticipated annual event is staged at our wooded Steinberg Nature Center grounds, and hosted by Master Gardeners who will suggest the best plant types for your landscape and offer cultivation tips.

The bounty of native plants for sale will help attract and nurture birds, bees, butterflies, ladybugs, beetles, bats and other wildlife, and will transform your yard, patio or balcony into a thriving, low-maintenance pollinator-friendly habitat. For inspiration you can also stroll the nature trails that thread our Pine Rocklands and Tropical Hardwood Hammock.
