Conservation Concert featuring Ricky Valido & The Hialeah Hillbillies

  • Tropical Audubon Society 5530 Sunset Dr Miami, FL, 33143 (map)

Our hometown boy Ricky Valido has returned from Nashville to perch in High Pines with the birds! The self-proclaimed "outlaw" singer-songwriter will light up the Keystone stage with his unique blend of traditional Honky Tonk delivered with a fresh, modern edge. The breakout Hialeah-born country music artist is the great-grandson of Cuban immigrants who made a name for himself in the country scene — from Key West to Daytona — under the banner of the Hialeah Hillbillies.

Now dividing his time between Miami and Music City, Ricky is solidifying his place as a solo Nashville recording artist with a focus on authentic storytelling. His rich, soulful voice has remarkable range and a distinctive, silky tone; his style distills classic Country, Americana, and Southern Rock — a style both timeless and contemporary.

Why volunteer for TAS? “It's an honor for me to contribute,” says the artist, who's an MDC Environmental Science graduate. “I grew up here. The Everglades are in my blood.”

Don't miss the opportunity to catch this rising star before he flies the coop for good! Join us under the Audubon oaks and stars to hear how he's imbuing his captivating style of country music with the influences of his South Florida heritage.

You can learn more about our native son, and listen to his debut album on all digital and physical formats at www.RickyValido.com.
