Learn about the Birding basics and how Climate Change affects birds with Everglades National Park educators and TAS staff at a special, free, family-friendly event taking place at the Doc Thomas House and our Steinberg Nature Center campus. Hone your own identification skills and/or bring along the young naturalist in your life during an engaging morning of games, sketching, fun activities and nature walks. 

Discover why Birding is a fun and educational pastime for all ages and skill levels. Learn why birds are important, how to Bird ethically, and what types of adaptations birds have adopted to better survive in their habitats. Find out how your actions impact our local environment, and why it's so important to take care of the natural world.
