TAS President Joe Barros (bilingual) will lead this half-day trip to the largest remaining tract of coastal tropical hardwood hammock in the Florida Keys. Meet at 7 AM at the Cracker Barrel restaurant at US 1 and Palm Drive in Florida City (map), or at 7:30am at Alabama Jacks on Card Sound Road (map). Arrival times at other stops, including at the state park, cannot be predicted with any certainty, so it's recommended that you plan to meet the group only at the locations listed above.

Bring water and insect repellant. There is an entrance fee to the botanical site. Lunch at a Key Largo restaurant.
