The Friends of the Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge are hosting a Bioblitz event on the refuge in honor of Loxahatchee’s 75th anniversary. The refuge entrance fee will be waived for this event.
A Bioblitz is a fast-paced species-finding mission where scientists, teachers, students and everyday nature-lovers team up to identify and many plants and animals as possible in a single area. As part of Wild Bioblitz 75, TAS field Trip Coordinator Brian Rapoza will lead a bird walk at the refuge, beginning at 10am. Meet at the Pond Lily Trail Pavilion, on the south side of Lee Road (map). Registration with Friends of Loxahatchee is recommended.
