Brian Rapoza and Luis Gonzalez (bilingual) will lead this full-day trip in the Everglades Agricultural Area south of Lake Okeechobee in Palm Beach County. We'll tour A1-FEB (Flow Equalization Basin), then visit sod farms and flooded agricultural fields in the Belle Glade area.
Meet at 7am at the boat ramp and restrooms at A1-FEB’s south entrance (GPS: 26.398222, -80.592611), on the west side of US 27 between mile markers 52 and 53. Walkie-talkies will be available for loan (one per vehicle). There will be a lunch stop at a restaurant. No fee.
