Secrets of Shorebird Identification: Simplifying the Impossible at Crandon Park (POSTPONED)

Eliana Ardila Kramer (bilingual) & Marc Kramer from Birding by Bus will lead this half-day shorebird identification workshop at Crandon Park on Key Biscayne. The focus of this workshop will be to apply the strategies discussed at the “Secrets of Shorebird Identification: Simplifying the Impossible” presentation at Leica Store Miami the previous evening. Much of the morning will be spent in areas on Crandon Beach where wintering shorebirds congregate. A visit to Crandon Gardens (the old zoo) will follow if time permits.

The workshop will begin at 7:30 AM, returning at approximately 11 AM. Enter the park via the South Beach entrance. Meet at the entrance to Crandon Gardens (GPS: 25.705931 -80.156577) at the south end of the park. Costs include a $7 parking fee (payable using PayByPhone) and the Rickenbacker Causeway toll (SunPass).
